Example 1



To a vial charged with the aryl chloride (A) (60 mg, 0.146 mmol), the phenol (B) (25.0 mg, 0.153 mmol), and Cs2CO3 (143 mg, 0.438 mmol) was added DMSO (0.584 mL). The reaction mixture was stirred at 120 C for 3 h. The mixture was loaded onto a redisep load column and purified by reverse phase chromatography (55 g Interchim C-18, 35-100% ACN in H2O, 0.1% formic acid) to provide impure product. The material was repurified by RP-HPLC (5-95% ACN in H2O, 0.1% NH4OH throughout) to provide the product. [26 mg, 33%]
