SNAr (Cl)

(Ammonia)

Examples:

Example 1

In a steel pressure vessel was added the SM (3.15 g, 11.1 mmol) and 40% aq NH4OH (21.6 mL, 222 mmol) in dioxane (30 mL) and the mixture was heated under pressure at 100 C for 17 h. The mixture was cooled to RT and concentrated in vacuo. The resulting residue was triturated with ether (15 mL) and filtered. Additional solids formed in the filtrate and were collected by filtration. The solids were combined to provide the product. [1.67 g, 57%]

Example 2

A Uniqsis Flowsyn fitted with a T-mixer, a 14 mL loop, and a backpressure 100 psi regulator was primed with dioxane. To line A of the flow reactor was added a 0.5M solution of the SM (0.17 g, 0.50 mmol) in dioxane. To line B was added a solution of NH4OH. The system was run at a flow rate 1 mL/min with a resonance time of 14 min at 120 C. The reaction mixture was collected and concentrated in vacuo to provide the product. [0.15 g, 99%]
